Legislative meetings are a premier opportunity for Jobs for Michigan’s Graduates (JMG) youth to tell their story, voice their opinion, and practice the success skills they have been learning through JMG. For many JMG youth, this will be an empowering first experience speaking to their local elected officials, providing them with the opportunity to make their voice heard.
Legislative Days is our annual event focused on giving youth an opportunity to learn about the state government. Youth from around the state have the opportunity to meet with local legislators to share their experiences in the JMG program and advocate for their communities. This year, Legislative Day will be held IN PERSON in Lansing on March 8 and 9.
We are dedicating the month of February, leading up to Legislative Day, to providing opportunities for youth to learn about career paths in the public sector through virtual events.

GST Michigan Works!
My favorite memory of JMG was going to Legislative Day in Lansing. I was able to present an award to my senator and was able to meet other JMG participants from around the state. Thank you to our legislators for their continuous support of the JMG program. I wouldn't be where I am today without JMG.
