Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

We recognize that creating an inclusive and welcoming environment is essential to empowering young people to reach a future beyond imagination. Recognizing that our organization sets an example for the youth we serve, we want them to know that they are valued just as they are.

Our Commitment

We are committed to building a culture of belonging that respects and values the unique contributions of every individual, regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, religion, disability, or any other characteristic.  It is the unique perspectives, experiences and backgrounds of all individuals that enrich each of us, every day.

We are dedicated to fostering a workplace culture that promotes DEI through:

Recruiting and retaining a diverse staff that reflects the communities we serve.

Providing training and education for our staff to develop their DEI competencies.

Ensuring that all of our programs and services are accessible and equitable for everyone.

Encouraging open dialogue and communication among our staff, participants, and stakeholders to build understanding and respect.

Supporting employee resource groups that promote DEI initiatives and provide a safe space for underrepresented staff to connect.

Collecting and analyzing data to evaluate our progress towards our DEI goals and identify areas for improvement.

Partnering with community organizations and stakeholders to ensure that we are responsive to the needs of our participants and the communities we serve.

We recognize that promoting DEI is an ongoing process that requires continuous effort and commitment. We are dedicated to being intentional and proactive in our efforts to create an inclusive and equitable workplace culture and to build programs that support the success of all young people.

Coffee With a Purpose:

Advancing DEI Through Conversations

Deb Panozzo

The team at Cycle-Re-Cycle appreciated the opportunity to work with the staff at JMG WorkForce Pathways in providing a teen with real life work experience, in our shop repairing bikes. The young person had an interest in bikes and so gaining knowledge in a job setting gave him a glimpse of a pathway from school to work. The JMG specialist I worked with did a great job explaining the program to our team and problem solving when questions came up.  We look forward to hosting additional teens in the future.
