There are so many things that excite me about being a Youth Solutions Intern, but if I could choose one thing it would be the experience. To be included in a space with people who are different in every aspect of life but are so passionate about youth that we bring our variety of creativity and perspectives to the table is something that makes my internship experience so worth it. In this role, I am determined to lend my experiences as a youth professional and student to resourceful adults who have the platform to help ensure success for youth in communities across Michigan. I am currently a freshman biology major with a chemistry minor at Valparaiso University with the hopes of becoming a Neurosurgeon.

We have a powerful potential in our youth, and we must have the courage to change the old ideas and practices so that we may direct their power toward good ends.”– Mary Mcleod Bethune
