Laura Preuss Ph.D.

Laura Preuss is the Director of Talent Initiatives at the Michigan Manufacturers Association, where she advances workforce-solutions strategies and helps member companies build strong, sustainable talent pipelines.
Prior to her current role, Laura served as Director of Adult Education for Kent Intermediate School District (Kent ISD). In this capacity, she oversaw adult-learner programming including GED/High-School Equivalency, ESL, and career technical training.
Before transitioning into adult education, Laura was Director of Workforce Development at DeWys Metal Solutions. While there, she was instrumental in launching DeWys University, an on-site training and development initiative aimed at equipping employees from diverse backgrounds for success in the manufacturing environment.
Her academic credentials include a Master of Arts in Adult and Higher Education from Grand Valley State University and a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership, Research and Technology from Western Michigan University, with an emphasis on Career and Technical Education.
