I am incredibly excited and honored to lead a talented and dedicated team at Youth Solutions. Together, we will create lasting and meaningful change and opportunities for Michigan and our youth. We are committed to providing every youth in Michigan high-quality, career-focused education so that each one graduates high school with a clear and actionable post-secondary pathway to a successful life. This is my passion and my purpose!​

Roger Curtis is the Executive Director of Youth Solutions, leading efforts across Michigan to align education, workforce, and community systems so every young person has a clear, supported path to success. With a diverse career spanning business leadership, public service, and nonprofit work, Roger brings a unique perspective and collaborative approach to advancing youth-centered change.

 

Before joining Youth Solutions, Roger was Vice President of Public Affairs at Consumers Energy, managing community affairs, corporate communications, and giving. He served as Director of the Michigan Department of Talent and Economic Development under Governor Rick Snyder, where he worked to strengthen connections between education and economic opportunity statewide. Earlier, he spent ten years as President of Michigan International Speedway, transforming the venue into a year-round entertainment destination and gaining valuable experience in leadership, marketing, and operations.

 

Roger’s broad background—from motorsports and energy to government and education—equips him to serve as a bridge between educators, employers, policymakers, and families. A parent of three young-adults, he understands the challenges and opportunities young people face as they navigate their futures.

 

He holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing and is also a husband, a music enthusiast and an outdoor adventurer. Roger brings energy, insight, and a steadfast commitment to ensuring Michigan’s youth have the resources and pathways they need to thrive.
