Last month, Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG) hosted their 39th annual National Training Seminar (NTS) in Las Vegas, Nevada. 650 JAG specialists, managers, and state leaders from around the nation participated in the first in-person NTS since 2019. The focus of these training sessions were Project Based Learning, Trauma Informed Care, and Employer Engagement, providing attendees with tools, resources, and support for the ‘22-23 program year.
Michigan was well represented in Las Vegas with attendees from Youth Solutions and 10 other Michigan Works! agencies from across the state. NTS is an opportunity for Michigan to demonstrate their leadership through sessions we hosted and to participate in discussions that inform the future of the JAG National model. It also was an opportunity to learn best practices from the 39 other states in the network. .
