Meet Our New Youth Solutions Intern - JMG Alumna Natasha Rzanca

Hi, I’m Natasha Rzanca, a JMG alumna from Gwinn High School in the Upper Peninsula. I’m excited for the opportunity to be an intern with Youth Solutions, as someone who benefitted from the skills learned and support received in the program. I cannot wait to be a part of impacting our youth, because I understand firsthand just how important this program is. In addition to being an intern, this past fall I joined the newly formed Youth Solutions Youth Advisory Council (YAC). I’ve enjoyed meeting and working with other JMG alumni and current youth on the council, to be champions for Youth Solutions and to bring the perspective of our experiences.

My time in the JMG program was brief, however, it greatly impacted my future. I was awarded Alumni of the Year at the Career Development Conference in 2018, and it was at this conference that I overcame my fear of public speaking. I credit that to the support I received from my JMG family. In August of 2019 I moved to East Texas, got engaged, and began working full time doing school photography. This fall I hope to go back to college to finish my bachelor’s degree. Eventually I’d like to go to medical school with hopes of becoming an OB/GYN.
