We recognize that creating an inclusive and welcoming environment is essential to empowering young people to reach a future beyond imagination. Recognizing that our organization sets an example for the youth we serve, we want them to know that they are valued just as they are.

Our Commitment

We are committed to building a culture of belonging that respects and values the unique contributions of every individual, regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, religion, disability, or any other characteristic.  It is the unique perspectives, experiences and backgrounds of all individuals that enrich each of us, every day.

We are dedicated to fostering a workplace culture that promotes DEI through:

Coffee With a Purpose:

Advancing DEI Through Conversations

We recognize that creating an inclusive and welcoming environment is essential to empowering our young people. “Coffee with a Purpose” was created to broadcast virtual conversations with youth from across the state, offering a platform to explore a range of meaningful topics, crucial to the success of their future.

Our recent 3- Part series of Coffee with a Purpose - Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and YOUth gave youth an opportunity to discuss how it directly affects our youth today and how it is shaping their hopes for the future. Over the course of nine months, we were able to have these three live sessions at the Bridge Academy of Southwest Michigan in Benton Harbor, Marquette-Alger Technical Middle College in Marquette Michigan in the Upper Peninsula, and finally at Pershing High School in Detroit.
