What does it mean to be an Employer Partner?
Becoming an employer partner is a win-win. You will have the opportunity to work with youth in your region, and around the state, to introduce them to opportunities within your business. In turn - you will connect with youth and help them achieve a future beyond imagination. Here's how it works.
EXPLORE:
This phase is an "introduction" and we will help youth explore potential career options.
ENGAGE:
Site tours, either in person or virtual, will expose youth to a variety of businesses and help them move from a concept to something more tangible. Site tours will allow our youth to see themselves working in your industry!
EXPERIENCE:
This is where the rubber meets the road. Narrow down candidates who are truly interested in pursuing a career in your industry. It gives youth the opportunity to experience what their future might be like.
The Mentorship Project
One of the most valuable ways for an organization to get involved is by participating in The Mentorship Project. This innovative program brings youth in the JMG programs into local businesses, to gain more insight into potential career options as well as hands-on experience in the workplace. Each student is paired with a mentor from your business who helps implement the program and lead activities.
Each Mentorship Project is totally customizable based on the size and need of the organization—some organizations implement a full-year program, while others focus on a single activity at a time. For a sample timeline and example activities, click the button below.
