Employer partners are an important part of the work we do, connecting youth to companies and occupations they might not otherwise be exposed to. One of our new partners, Steelcase, has become a true employer champion of the youth we serve. Headquartered in Grand Rapids, Steelcase maintains a strong commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, along with social impact, including helping those who wouldn’t otherwise have access to a professional network or other opportunities.
Steelcase recently led a panel for our youth, introducing them to different careers within the company, including professionals working in manufacturing, industrial design, communications, and IT. They are planning a second event to give youth more in-depth exposure to the company and the career pathways plus they hope to find interns from the youth attending these events. We are excited about this partnership and the inspiration and opportunities it will provide our youth in helping them believe, plan, and achieve, a future beyond imagination.
