Fund the Future of Youth Success

It has been said that educating and supporting our youth is the best way to invest in a prosperous future. With that in mind, Youth Solutions will be kicking off our annual fundraising campaign on Tuesday November 29, 2022 - also known as Giving Tuesday.

The campaign is aptly called Fund the Future because donations support our purpose of “inspiring and connecting youth to achieve a future beyond imagination.”

Generous contributions in prior years have helped Youth Solutions to achieve some incredible feats in 2022:

  • We served more youth participants than any other year!

  • New and innovative programs were launched to engage young adults in learning skills that will help them throughout their lives.

  • 97% of young adults who took part in our programming graduated.

This year, we are introducing a Youth Advisory Council (YAC) Scholarship which will award $500 toward post-secondary education and/or skilled trades. The YAC created this scholarship to continue supporting Jobs for Michigan’s Graduates (JMG) youth and helping them reach their goals. This annual YAC Scholarship is a fully youth-led initiative that provides JMG youth the opportunity to win scholarship funds that may be used for training costs, tuition & fees, books, registration costs, or training/certifications.

“I believe that the biggest reason YAC wanted to start this scholarship is to continue to support JMG students and alumni in their future endeavors. I feel that this is extremely important because as a current college student I understand just how big of a barrier money can be when deciding to pursue additional education of any kind. Hopefully through this scholarship, the YAC will be able to help ease that burden for some of our fellow students and alumni!” says Natasha Terrell, Youth Solutions Intern and JMG Alumna from Upper Peninsula Michigan Works.
