Are you currently employed? If so, where?
I have a student job at the NMC Library, as well as an off campus job at Pavlova Salon & Spa as a Licensed Cosmetologist.
Are you currently enrolled in secondary education or a trades program? If so, where? What are you studying?
Northwestern Michigan College- I also completed beauty school right after high school, and worked in that field as a Licensed Cosmetologist before starting at NMC.
Why did you join the YAC?
Expanding my range of experience and developing my leadership skills is very important to me, and joining the YAC seemed like an invaluable experience that would help me progress into the kind of leader I hope to be.
What impact has the JMG program had on you?
Since becoming involved in Jobs for Michigan Graduates, I have felt a sense of support on campus and familiarity with NMC in a different way then I did before. Sometimes just having that one person on campus that you know is there to help you can make all the difference.
Why do you believe others should others fund or support the JMG program? Why is JMG important?
The JMG program helps students through their college journey and lets them know that they have someone on campus they can always come to. It is a means of support in many ways, and allows for a sense of direction in career growth.

Career Development Conference (CDC) and National Student Leadership Academy (NSLA)
How has attending any of the annual JMG youth events helped you prepare for your future?
The Career Development Conference helped push me outside my comfort zone. IT also allowed me to talk about my dreams as a viable career option for my future and that will have an affect on the world.
What is your favorite type of ice cream?
I love sherbet, and as a kid I would eat nothing else.

I was originally born in Kansas, and moved to Northern Michigan when I was 11.

Live abroad permanently while earning my masters
