Summer Summit will take place July 26th - 28th
The word “summit” is defined as the top, apex or highest point of attainment or aspiration. This seems fitting that our annual training and education conference is called the Summer Summit. It is an opportunity for our extended network to join together to learn from and share with each other, while also celebrating our accomplishments and preparing for the year ahead.
This year’s Summer Summit will be held on July 26, 27 and 28 at the Courtyard by Marriott in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. Our conference theme is We Belong: The Summer Summit Music Fest. This three-day event will give our Jobs for Michigan’s Graduates (JMG) specialists an opportunity to get energized through personal learning opportunities and peer networking. Some of the topics that will be covered include:
Building Belonging Through Classroom Management
Combining Resources for Greater Impact
Embracing Growth Through Continuous Improvement
Providing Safe, Consistent and Quality Communications to JMG Youth
Expanding Opportunities through JMG and CTE (Career & Technical Education)
College Enrollment from A to Z
Empowering Michigan’s Next Generation of Leaders
Community Building Through Conversation
Leveraging Data: Recognizing Success and Empowering Growth
And so much more…
Although professional development opportunities like this are priceless, they do come with a cost which may prohibit some of our personnel from attending. YOU could be the solution in this case. For $200, you can sponsor the registration fee for a JMG specialist so they can attend the Summer Summit and take part in this amazing learning experience. We know that the benefits of this investment go well beyond the educator and reach every one of their program participants as well. Are you willing to contribute to their success?
Sponsor a specialist by donating $200 or give whatever you are able to offset the cost of attending this engaging educational event by donating here.
We appreciate your support of our people and our programs. Watch for details about the outcomes of the Summer Summit in next month’s newsletter.
