Introducing the JMG Alumni Mentorship Program

At Youth Solutions, we believe in the power of connection. That’s why we’re excited to launch the Jobs for Michigan’s Graduates (JMG) Alumni Mentorship Program. This is a new initiative designed to strengthen the JMG community and inspire the next generation of leaders. 

This program connects JMG Alumni with current JMG students who are eager to grow their leadership, confidence, and career readiness. Through a peer-to-peer model, alumni mentors share their experiences, offer encouragement, and help mentees set and achieve meaningful goals.

Why It Matters

Mentorship is one of the most powerful ways to support youth success. For JMG students, having a mentor means having someone who’s been in their shoes and understands the challenges and opportunities ahead. For alumni, it’s a chance to stay connected to JMG, give back to the program that supported them, and build their own leadership and communication skills. 

The program was inspired by JMG alumni who wanted a way to give back and stay connected. We’re excited to see their idea become reality. The first cohort launches this fall, and we can’t wait to watch the relationships and inspiration grow. Together, we’re building a stronger, more connected JMG community.
