STEP is a flexible, classroom-ready resource designed to integrate career exploration and essential skill development into general education settings for all students.
Why STEP Matters
STEP (Support. Teach. Empower. Prepare.) provides developmentally appropriate, hands-on activities that introduce students to high-demand career sectors, including those in Michigan’s infrastructure economy, while also building transferable skills that are essential for any industry. STEP is designed for easy integration into advisory periods, enrichment blocks, or core classes, giving schools a practical way to ensure broad, equitable access to early career development without overhauling their schedules.
What's Next?
The STEP curriculum is currently in development for grades 6-12, with 10 schools planned to pilot the curriculum in the 2025-2026 school year. These early adopters are leading the way in redefining how students explore career paths and build future-ready skills.
