JMG Alumna of 2022 at Cadillac Innovation High School
What’re you doing now? Did you go to college, a trade school, or into the military? If so, where?
I've been working at Wendy's for almost a year. I'm going to look for second job once I get my license and a car.
How did JMG help you prepare for life after high school?
JMG helped me prepare for a career, as well as take action when I need to with the soft skills that I was taught. Kim Benz is an amazing person and has taught me so much in the 2 years that I've had her as a Specialist. She has helped me become more prepared for interviews, like what questions to expect and how to answer them. She had me practice them the first year that I had her and I believe that was a big part of how I became ready to apply for the job I have now.
How did the JMG program impact your life?
It made me better at socializing in life and my job.
What did JMG ignite in you?
A determination to work for something that I want. Whether that be in my personal life or career life.
What is your favorite memory from your time in JMG?
My favorite memory has to be when I figured out what careers I could work best in based on my personality and soft skills.
What would you say is your biggest accomplishment since graduation?
I would say getting a job because I've always been very nervous about things like that.
If you could give someone thinking about joining JMG one piece of advice, what would it be?
I would say to take it seriously and listen because the things you learn in JMG will help you in the future.
Share your hobbies, do you have any pets, what do you like to do in your spare time?
I love to read, paint, and hang out with friends. I have 3 dogs, 2 Goldendoodles and a Yorkie.
