With over fifteen years of experience in education, I have developed a passion for helping students reach their highest potential as scholars and human beings. I’ve taught everything from kindergarten to high school English, but found my work as a school counselor the most rewarding. I spent six years helping students become their very best by creating and implementing a comprehensive career development program. Most recently, I was the Principal of a middle school and high school in rural Colorado where we managed to offer full-time, in-person learning throughout the pandemic while focusing on mental wellness of staff and students. I earned my undergraduate degree from Northwestern University in psychology and a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from the University of Colorado Denver. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado and Nationally Certified Counselor.
I’m excited to bring my experience to the Manager of Program Success position at Youth Solutions. In this role I will provide leadership and support to the staff delivering our services to ensure high quality and consistent service delivery across the state. In addition, I will be growing new and managing existing partnerships with school districts to increase our reach. I am honored to be a part of this organization that works hard every day to inspire youth to achieve their fullest potential.
I have lived in the mountains of Colorado for nineteen years where I met my husband and, together, raised two high-altitude children. Our daughter, Ava, will be starting high school this fall and our son, Miles, will be entering middle school. We enjoy doing anything outside and exploring new places. We especially like biking, hiking, and camping and I am developing a love for pickleball. We are excited to embark on our new adventure in Southwest Michigan and to be closer to family.
