Meet Paul Dillon

JMG Alumnus Class of 2021 at Northview Next Career Center

What’re you doing now? Did you go to college, a trade school, or into the military? If so, where?

As of right now, I work full time at Amazon, but my plan is to attend community college next semester.

How did JMG help you prepare for life after high school?

It helped me understand more of what the real world is like, and how to prepare myself for adulthood.

How did the JMG program impact your life?

It showed me that all schooling doesn’t have to be the same to be effective. Without the JMG Program, I don’t think I would have been able to graduate. Being able to look at school differently, gave me a reason to try harder.

What did JMG ignite in you?

It got me ready for life’s next step, and understanding what comes with becoming my own independent person.

What is your favorite memory from your time in JMG?

Everything about the program for me was memorable, so to say one thing in particular is difficult, but being able to help others and use my voice and influence is my favorite memory.

What would you say is your biggest accomplishment since graduation?

My biggest accomplishment since graduation is starting my job at Amazon.

If you could give someone thinking about joining JMG one piece of advice, what would it be?

Don’t be afraid to be uncomfortable. It’s a different learning structure than normal high school, so it could take some getting used too, but once you do, it’s a game changer.

Share your hobbies, do you have any pets, what do you like to do in your spare time?

With the little spare time I have, I love to hang out with the boys, workout, and play basketball.
