Dear Friends, Colleagues and Partners of Youth Solutions, Inc.
With both sadness and gratitude we announce that Kristin Harrington will be resigning as the Executive Director of Youth Solutions, Inc., effective July 16. Mollie Waller, Deputy Director, will serve as Interim Executive Director beginning on July 17.
Kristin joined the Jobs for Michigan’s Graduates (JMG) family in 2011, serving on the frontlines of our organization as a JMG Specialist for opportunity youth. Since then, she has held numerous leadership roles within the Kinexus Group family of companies. Most notably, she served as the founding President and Executive Director of the Youth Solutions organization since March 2017. In her role as Executive Director, Kristin led the development of a new strategic plan positioning Youth Solutions to 1) expand with hundreds of innovative partnerships to make community level changes in education and workforce development across our state; 2) accelerate post graduation pathways and employment - including offering virtual service delivery during the pandemic and technology driven service options to thousands more youth; and 3) diversify and increase revenue to fuel our mission and build a trusted brand. With dedicated skilled effort from Youth Solutions’ staff and board, progress on our strategic plan is solidly under way, supporting fulfillment of our mission, vision and purpose.
Kristin leaves Youth Solutions with a very strong foundation for continued growth as our committed team works to serve 10,000 Michigan youth annually. We sincerely thank her for her contributions and leadership to this organization. The Board wishes her the very best as she pursues her new opportunities. We have great confidence that Kristin and our dynamic team will make this a smooth transition for the young people we serve, our partners, and all of our supporters.
